My Steam account is older than some of the newer people I work with.
My Steam account is old enough to drink.
And we were pissed when we were forced to make one!
I stayed on WON right up until it shut down and I had to go through Steam to play CS. I was 100℅ in favor of the idea of Steam, but in 2003 the implementation fucking sucked.
I used to use my friends and we would each buy games for a while. Then it just got annoying and decided to cut my losses and make my own. This concept was so new at the time it just seemed to make more sense sharing with someone.
For a second I dead-ass thought you just went off to make your own games. lol
oh damn i should log in to that old hotmail account. it’s 29!
Where?
Anywhere. Unless some country has a higher drinking age than the US… 🤔
I looked it up. Apparently, some do.
Eritrea: 25
Some parts of India: 25-30
Just about

Shit. I was about to quip “Your intern is only 8?” before I remembered what year it was.

Made me curious and I did the math, the girl who gave birth to her son two months after graduation, he can legally drink now.
God damn I’m going to need some more ibuprofen today…
Mfw time goes forward and the years change

Mfw time goes forward faster and faster and the years change without asking first. And then your mind and soul never truly realising how much time has passed.
This effect can be really messed up once you have a kid and they get to the ages where you can remember childhood memories.
Things that took FOR FUCKING EVER as a kid just zip past in the blink of an eye when I’m the parent instead of the child.

When your Steam achievements are older than the majority of the game lobby…
Maybe she should read her emails in case her intern has to inform her of a sick day.
That’s insane to me. I’m almost 40. But I don’t feel forty. I’m not 40 in my head.
Same thing happens when we hit 70. Just ask your folks.
I forget
My mom (both parents are 76) told me she’s basically always felt approximately like she did in her 20s. I get what she meant by that, even if I don’t quite feel that young in my head now in my late 40s.
Normalize respecting young people’s contributions, knowledge, and skills before mentioning their age…
Pretty sure deleting interns is frowned upon anyway.
Unless you work for DOGE, that is. Then you can just delete entire departments and be praised for it.
That was the interns deleting departments
I hope she pays this intern
Always reminds me of that comic where the person jumps from like 18 to 30 to 50 to dead, still going “wait a sec…” It’s so true!
Do you have a link or image?
Have to wait 6 more years to say something comparable. Accidentially hit “mark all read” or something once
Two words. Hot. Mail
I had a Hotmail account before Microsoft bought them…
I still have a Yahoo email account that I’ve had since 1997 I think… 7 letters, no numbers.
I wonder if there are any unread emails from the 70s.
