From my observation these symbols have been deliberately memory holed. They have shown them countless times ignoring any nazi association. Not even deflection like “they had to ally with Nazis against the soviets.” It has led to desensitisation. As long as it is not a literal 45 degree rotated swastika it’s not considered nazi anymore.

It’s actually the coat of arms of Lviv that was reused for 14th SS division, but its use with all the surrounding Nazi patches is probably not due to its owner being a fan of Lviv.
