Nursing ive never really understood maybe its a US thing cos if ur getting a job as a nurse in the UK to be a mean girl like welcome to hell I guess its such a high requirement and hard job just to bully people.

Idk if it has the same problem here I think the NHS mean girl position is operating the front desk at any and all doctors practises. Some absolute demons in those roles that exist to prevent you from accessing medical care oh and also said all sorts of racist shit to my mum while she was actively dying

The sad part is I am like the master of doing no work while management think im doing lots and while it was my small insular team it was great cos thats just what id do. But the difference is if you arent going to do the work you need to take responsibility of the work you’re not doing. They dont do this.

It was around 3 years ago the work that came in was largely discussions and manual work so i automated it but didnt say anything and spent half a year grinding 3 mmo’s and gran turismo at the same time. At the end the work was done by the deadline and everyone was happy. They dont do this.

Now these new people are here i actually have to do about 5 jobs at the same time and now frequently have to work late and the output is slower than when it was just me and my close knit smaller team.

My immediate team under my manager are basically people who have the same material experiences I did of min wage work, living in crap conditions and the best hope was not losing all our savings to a car breaking down.

Without these people here I would actually go completely insane because outside of this bubble I work with literal aliens. People who own yachts and go abroad 72 times a year and their future aspirations are to be a CEO. The problem is i’ve been ripped away from my team of people i actually like and forced to work with some dude who spent half his life in university and cant even copy paste something I wrote correctly and keeps generating brain melting levels of ai bullshit. This guy im surprised he can even put his clothes on in the morning and outside of my bubble absolutely everyone is like this and its always the same story. People who had privileged lives and never had to do anything difficult ever. The concept of sleeping for dinner is lost on them

I’ve never actually met a single person who works for the DWP. They must be so far far out of my circle of potential people I would ever interact with.

They must be like the actual worst people alive, I’d starve than do the job of basically sentencing people with disabilities to death.

Or maybe the job is just outsourced like everything else in this fucking country

I’m saying this being white collar as well. As long as you dont spend every working day trying to find new exciting ways to piss me off then we’re good.

You can supposedly just make it a repeater directly which would be the simplest approach and your devices will just automatically work with it. Not sure if it will let you use the Ethernet ports as a switch at the same time though, in that case it may need to be AP mode but then you’d have two separate wifi networks. I’ve never tried to give the same wifi name and password to two different routers tho i imagine that comes with some funk or just would show as two separate networks anyway dont think they will blend. Worth trying both and see what works best for you
