If someone comes at you with a knife your goal should be to get that knife and use it against them. Not try to force a fist fight.
I think that’s reasonable and to make it clear I am pro peoples police. I don’t think there should be civil liberties for fascists should we ever take power
I do think we need to be careful to not go overboard with the police but if there’s a place that needs a lot of re-education, it is certainly the US.

Honestly the most critical perspectives come from U.S. Midwestern socialists, mostly because we are extremely used to NY fucking everything up for everyone else. While our NY contingent have been extremely quiet on Mamdani for oh, three or four months now. This isn’t me gloating btw, I was extremely optimistic about him when he got in, but he rapidly dashed those hopes, but I hold out the minimum hope that he will somehow turn this puppy around.
