“Tee hee anyone else notice bot activity is down after the Russian bot farm got hit?”
Funny, the only thing I’ve noticed is these exact same comments popping up everywhere. Almost worded the same.
Also chucking sensibly at the idea that the slight decrease in the word genocide is somehow linked to Russian bots farms and then they show a chart with very little change in trajectory after oct 7 (should be obvious why there was an increase on oct 7)
So since ‘the bots’ are all gone, that clearly means that going forward, liberals will not just decry any opposition they face as ‘Russian bots’, right

Conveniently, it was but a blip in the massive operation 🙄
russiagate is a such an obvious zionist psyop in hindsight, it was so perfect a way to send liberals on a decade long wild goose chase instead of looking at the country that openly interferes with our elections
And the lib takeaway if they ever find out won’t be “wow, Israel is horrible” it will be “wow, the nazis were right about those guys.”
Probably why the first thing trum did was move the us embassy to Jerusalem
It’s such a weird online thing.
I listen to the national broadcaster (CBC) in the car. It was the afternoon shows weekly business segment and they were talking about this and how there was not yet any proof it was impacting disinformation online, and that it’s more than likely used for other things like scraping or whatever. The CBC is critical of russia and talks about foreign election interference (although mostly about in canada, typically with china and india being suspected).
The columnists opined that it might be a symptom of how divided people are, that they can’t believe their opposition is genuine.
I have nothing to back this up but my general approach is that if the turbo lib CBC thinks it’s a stretch, it probably is extremely doubtful.
If we wanted to actually do something about misinfo online, I’d think we would need to hit silicon valley or something.
I am sure all sorts of orgs are posting every manner of nonsense online. Even if every intentional operation was stopped you’d still have armchair geopolitics analysts with their hot takes. Maybe I’m underestimating the magnitude tho.
Oh I’m sure it wouldn’t stop it, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to try it
I genuinely think CBC is an unusually high quality source of information despite it being bourgeois.
It is owed more merit than it is given on Hexbear.
Also Andrew Chang is pretty cute.
I would be more than just comrades with Ian Hanomansing.
Hanomaxxing
Their graph just shows an uptick in oct 7. Which would be a reasonable thing to expect. No downwards trend there is just 6 days of data here. And that is assuming the source isn’t bullshit.
It is always funny that Westerners claim that antagonistic governments are the ones astroturfing and putting out bots on social media, when the entire reason for the freakout over Tik Tok was that there was one major social media platform that wasn’t controlled by the US and didn’t give carte blanche to the FBI/CIA to do whatever they want.
Remember when Nancy Pelosi said “Tik-Tac-Tok-Toe”

Or whatever the hell it was. Forgive me. I’ve forgotten her gibberish.
wait is she dead yet? Did i dream that?
You might be thinking of Diane Feinstein, I usually mix(ed) them up in my head
Unfortunately no she’s still keeping her crypt
So they’re claiming Russia is behind the shattered pro-genocide narrative?
Wow, I love Putin now.
In spite of everything Azov represents, and in spite of understanding the necessity for Russia to gain strategic depth, I still had quite some sympathies for the Ukrainian side in this war.
But if he was the key determinant, then labayk ya Abu Ali (Putin).
Caring about human rights is something only the dastardly slavs do sweetie.
This shit reminds of the “Russia opening the oldest vault” copypasta. Ukraine blew up the russian bot farm, and all the bad propaganda is over.
Wow a one week period, that’s certainly a large enough sample size to make a meaningful conclusion.

Wild to claim that while using an image showing it was previously going down matching what happened after the bots were removed
What evidence is there that any russian data centers were operating bots? Using the term “bot farm” is already accepting their framing.
As far as I know it wad just a Yandex data center and a scraper at worse. Someone more knowledgeable can correct me though.
If traffic were caused by a bot farm operating out of a data center, wouldn’t bombing it cause an immediate and sharp drop in whatever it was pushing?
This has gotta be for western conservatives. Man, they never make crazy propaganda against anarchists anymore. I have to read 1800s books for that shit.
How we all long for the antique charm of Anarchist skeletons hurling big round cartoon bombs in the newspapers
People have no idea how truly prolific bot farms are. We need to broadcast tours of these places.
