Tbf that’s because China kind of pioneered the same opaque bullshit that leads to excessive self-censorship on modern social media. Because they won’t give you clear guidelines on what is and isn’t allowed, and it’s all based on the whims of whatever specific person is responsible for approving or denying you on any given day, you are encouraged to aggressively self-censor even if there’s nothing wrong with the thing you made. Nobody wants to go through a dozen rounds of random rejections and revisions with some dickhead who won’t tell them why they’re being rejected.
