EDIT: you guys are cool as hell. I’ve found what I needed but I’ll keep this up because other people might use it

Anna’s archive has a lot of stuff.
https://mega.nz/folder/cuMwjRyK#eDPayQSdYFwaCh9qr8zzPw/folder/VjExyJQI Here you go! Enjoy!

Highly recommend Palo Alto since with the whole new AI tech bubble it is super relevant.
Thank you!
There are still some mirrors of Anna’s Archive, Library Genesis, and Z Library up; a list is maintained here:
https://open-slum.org/Use ad and script blockers on your browser, because some of those mirrors are sketchy as hell. The /r/libgen sub is still fairly active, and posters generally call out which mirrors are unsafe.
Wait, is libgen down? </3

Outside of more specialized sites you can download epubs from internet archive
I tried internet archive first thing, but they seem to have a weird rental system going on that doesn’t get you download the files?

1·34 minutes agoThey have, for books that are still under copyright[1]. But for other books they will let you download them. I don’t recommend downloading epubs from them however, they are 99.99% of the time just automatic conversions from images, which never goes well.
1: but you can still extract the images if you borrow the book, there are even scripts to do this, as you can probably tell I did this once. Although there is no reason to actually do this, you can just get the books that are under borrow restrictions as PDFs through annas-archive

I’m not sure, I’ve only used it a few times for that kinda stuff though. Did download Trans Wizard Harriet Porber And The Bad Boy Parasaurolophus recently but maybe it depends on what it is.
Ocean of pdf has quite a bit and The Gutenberg Project has lots of classics.
If you got a library card then check your libraries electronic resources page, I got hoopla on my phone and it lets me download ebooks and audiobooks. If you need recommendations last book I read was the black jaccobins on the Haitian revolution
So I stopped using hoopla cause a) the fees they charge libraries are batshit insane, but mostly b) I had a 14 hour flight last year, downloaded a bunch of books, then found out that to listen to downloaded books I still needed Internet. Lame. Perhaps that has changed in the last year, though, so I’m sorry if I’m wrong
Mostly slop. Becky Chambers has a new book out though.
