I’ve sometimes thought about asking the folks who run the blorptube if April 12 (Yuri’s Night) could be annually set aside for White Sun of the Desert and maybe some quality space exploration movies or documentaries.
Gagarin himself never lived to see that movie, but it’s a longstanding tradition for everyone launching in a Soyuz from Baikonur to watch it together the night before a launch. Plus it’s really funny.

My favorite hobby since I was a kid is model rocketry. One of my favorite rockets is the Estes Der Red Max - my namesake. My PFP is one of the decals from the rocket.
My favorite thing about the design is that it’s kinda goofy racist against Germans and the color scheme is red black so it just fits perfectly for this place.
