One aspect I actually liked about the Harry Potter films is they did a good job designing Hogwarts. It captured the whimsy of a fantasy Wizard school very well.
That’s such a weird choice. It’s supposed to be opulent. The first book especially is very much about the “rags to riches” fantasy that Harry goes through in the first act, and the Hogwarts feast is part of that. The book is not subtle about this.

Let me guess. In this reboot the Dursleys are buff chads and wizards too, Draco Malfoy is going to be the REAL protagonist, and the death eaters will be 100% in the right so as not to offend modern audiences?

One of those generic “romantasy” novels, but it’s a contemporary fiction with frantasy thrown in and the bland cishet white couple has to deal with asshat insurance policy.
