Kind of? It’s explicitly stated that magic cannot make food from thin air. However, they apparently can multiply it, teleport it if they know the location of it, or cook with magic.
It’s also shown that Mrs. Weasley can conjure food, I believe she creates sauce with her wand. So it’s just BS.
