Stickied good luck
August has been dog shit but going to bed consistently earlier has helped a bunch w my mental health
I haven’t worked out in a really, really long time and I want to set the bar super low so I will actually do something, so let’s say this week I’m gonna do pushups when i get out of bed and squats while I my brush my teeth. Every other day.
That’s a good idea, it’s called habit stacking. It’s when you build a new habit on top of something that you’re already doing every day. It’s easier to build a habit when you combine it with something that you’re already doing. I try to do some push-ups before I wash my hands and some jumping jacks before lunch. Good luck with your goal!

Week 1 of no YouTube complete.
Feeling good, reading a little more, working out more, posting more, being bored more (which was a goal)
Congrats on finishing week 1!

Are you going to continue with week 2? What are you reading?
Thanks! I’m going to keep going - I will likely watch the occasional video, but only things I stumble across from elsewhere. I set my browser to always open YouTube in a container in which I’m not logged in to Google, so that I don’t have my subscriptions or fyp ready.
I’m reading This Soviet World (well behind the reading group though) and State and Rev, and I’m about to start The Liberal Virus. Big Hexbear reading list hours over here. So far so good, but I might need to read something lighter to help me reset my reading speed and attention span.
