This is just standard McMansion. At this point it’s a stylistic choice.
The real sin here is that looks like carpet behind it in that semicircle area. Tbh I think this could have been cooler if the shower was somehow built into that semi circle, privacy doesn’t seem to be a major concern anyway.

The direction is the trickier part of the problem. Bending over seems to be the only way to get the water directly hit the asshole, although then the asshole water would wash over the rest of your body as well
