How would you tell you’re looking at a synchronized digital clock or cheap battery model?
How would you tell you’re looking at a synchronized digital clock or cheap battery model?
There are tons of equipment and tools out there that very closely resemble an analog clock and require the same skills. Pressure gauges for example. These skills are not out dated.
IMO all the more reason to keep them. In the real world we all have to perform under pressure. With practice they can learn to read the clock under pressure, maybe take a breath or two and slow down before trying to read it. It may be a simple hurdle to overcome but practicing overcoming these things is important for development.
These days you’re lucky to even get a sidewalk
Thats a reasonable use case for a truck. The majority of hate I have for trucks are for more city based people who claim they totally need it when they maybe move something 2-3 times a year.
That said, a small trailer could probably handle your garbage behind an SUV or capable car. Although it would still require more parking than the truck so the benefits overall are arguable.
What are you carrying around all day with your child that doesn’t fit in a minivan?
Hence why most smart labourers and contractors use a cargo van. No pesky seats blocking access and taking up space. Lots of customizeable room in the back for storage and shelves. Tall vans you can even walk inside and use a workbench. Many vans also have a decent towing capacity. Bed height is typically lower on a van, making heavier items easier to load. A lot of the same items people typically fit in truck beds can fit in the back of the van with the added benefits of being out of sight of thieves, being protected from weather and dirt, possibly even being heated or cooled if required.
Its also in my opinion, a complete failure of the EPA and a disconnect from what it’s true goals should be. The marketing trends show that bigger vehicles (which have more leneient standards and can guzzle more fuel) have been sold more and more since these standards, all to the benefit of oil companies selling gas to fill the bigger tanks and the benefit of auto makers enjoying higher price margins on bigger vehicles. Once again the hand of capitalism and the “free market” prioritizing profits over everything.
From a canadian perspective, it sounds believable. About 10 year ago, you could get a new build on half an acre for 350k in my hometown. Today the oldest, run down, needs lots of renovations houses in the city on a quarter acre are going for over 400k. Those 350k new builds are easily into 700-900k range.
My biggest mistake in life was not buying a house fresh out of high school, but i was an “idiot” who looked at housing as a place to live, not an investment.
Most people are paid bi-weekly, so every 2 weeks. So the mortgage cost pretty much doubled for them.
Activated carbon is also used in water treatment to remove taste/odours and many organic pollutants.
Yes please medic mommy
Drunk drivers that crash and actually ended up disrupting traffic get lighter sentences than this.
In some senses i would go back. Then i could just keep using 1 wire. Things were great when everything had the same cable for me. Now ive got a mix of micro and C.
I do a lot backpacking and every gram really counts when you carry it all day.
Most of my flashlights and rechargeable decives are micro USB still. C is superior but I’m not throwing away good electronics over a charging cable.
Its always baffled me how corporations managed to bribe politicians but its legal because they use the term “lobbying” instead.
Imagining murdering someone then saying nope thats not a crime, simply because you won’t call it a homicide, instead you keep labeling it something else.
Or another example, i’m not allowed to “lobby” a police officer out of giving me a ticket, but a mining corporation can lobby away their environmental regulations.
I wonder how much energy google wastes on its AI service in the regular search just to give me a worse answer than the top results I was actually looking for.
If a pedestrian is on a cross walk, the bigger mass should be required to stop to let the pedestrian cross safely.
It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure an intersection is clear before crossing it. A crosswalk is an intersection and a pedestrian is foot traffic.
In places with good transit, you actually can show off a fancy ticket. Some rail offers first class flight type of accommodations which can include more leg/seat room, comfier seating, a meal, and other amenities.
This but with the remote from click and I just keep listening to them piss
