My summer was honestly
but it was to be expected. I tried my best and made some progress. I bought a camera and took some good photos. Autumn/winter is my favourite part of the year so I’m looking forward to it
Wishing you luck for the fall my fav too tbh

Yoooo
I honestly love this weekly thread. Its so helpful for centering and being accountable to myself.
I started swimming at my local Y soon after I got better from covid, just one or two days trying to get my heart rate up. Gonna stick with doing that plus more regular walking on my lunch break, and of course getting sleep. Not where I want to be but I’m gonna keep pushing forward

Glad to hear you love the thread, I’m gonna keep posting it as long as people are commenting

Doing the weekly review every week keeps me accountable, I know that I have to lock in during the week because I’m doing the review at the end of it

fuck I fucked my sleep schedule up again :(
Get yourself an evening routine. I just listen to this cat purring video and smell some lavender oil

my evening routine is doomscrolling twitter :3
That cat is sooo happy I love it.
thanks for the link; I’ve struggled with this.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Have a j*b interview tomorrow! Hope to do some research and better prepare. This could be my ticket out of Ohio.
Also, as a
-cosplaying American I cooka’d da pizza and solved a problem I wanted to with making pizza: getting the crust better cooked. Folks like it, so can’t complain.Good luck with the interview! Hope it goes well

Would love to hear what adjustment you made! My mom (fruit pie maker) recently started sticking her pies in the fridge after assembly, and it’s resulted in a better bake of the bottom crust. Seems like a very steep temperature gradient is key. I think a pizza stone or steel does the same thing by providing a heck of a lot of heat energy right next to the bottom of the crust
Yep. Pizza stone. I also slightly overestimate how long it will take to cook, so when the recipe says “bake for 15” I do 17-20.
Also if you’re making pizza especially if you like your sauce recipe: use less of it. More sauce to use later and it keeps the right balance of flavor.
Good stories, comrades. September was ok, did a lot of walking, and several sudoku puzzles a day. Oct plans are to increase running, start on a language again, and study for a certification.
I continue to impress at my job even as my hours are gonna be scaled back soon… might have an opportunity soon anyway into the hvac world so not fretting too much. My own side studies on chiller mechanic stuff is going well, halfway done with it and I’ve been introduced to the world of PLC and ladder logic programming. Also signed up for doing my NATE certification this year so will be studying for that too. Many different way to try and get ahead so at least one of them should work.
Had a so so week. Finished off my next 3 day set of gym visits just fine, but felt a bit under the weather on my rest day. Thankfully, wasn’t anything too serious but aside from walking a lot on one day I didn t really do much exercise. Looking to get back on track this week.
Got burger king this week and had pasta and skipped a day of walking so I was shitty. I did walk today in the rain with an umbrella so at least I did that much. Therapy is gonna be hard again next week since we’re doing regression again.
September
- Started a new exercise regimen!
- Quit YouTube!
- Got another long bike trip with my dad. 5 days riding, 4 nights camping in mountains and islands. He’s getting up in years, so each year he worries he might not be fit enough, and each year he knocks it out of the park. This time he was too busy to train and was a little slower, but still we had a great time.
October
- I want to stick to my workout plan and keep progressing
- I want to start archery again
Summer
This was a good summer, even if I didn’t get outside as much as I wanted to. Reminds me that I need to plan things if I want them to happen.
Autumn
- I want to keep riding (for recreation) as deep into fall and winter as I can, even if friends don’t always come along. I have the gear to ride in cold temps, and will be riding for transport anyway
- I want to finish some household woodworking projects
