The fall of the Western Roman Empire, also called the fall of the Roman Empire or the fall of Rome, was the loss of central political control in the Western Roman Empire, a process in which the Empire failed to enforce its rule, and its vast territory was divided among several successor polities. The Roman Empire lost the strengths that had allowed it to exercise effective control over its Western provinces; modern historians posit factors including the effectiveness and numbers of the army, the health and numbers of the Roman population, the strength of the economy, the competence of the emperors, the internal struggles for power, the religious changes of the period, and the efficiency of the civil administration. Increasing pressure from invading peoples outside Roman culture also contributed greatly to the collapse. Climatic changes and both endemic and epidemic diseases drove many of these immediate factors.
The disintegration of the Western Roman Empire unfolded gradually during the Migration Period (c. 400–800 CE), as waves of migrating and invading peoples reshaped Europe. After the death of Theodosius I (reign 379–395 CE), the last emperor to govern both East and West, the empire was formally divided, leaving the weaker Western half vulnerable. Over the following decades, military defeats, economic strain, and internal instability combined with external pressures from Visigoths, Vandals, Huns, and other groups, eroding imperial authority. The conventional “fall” is often dated to 476 CE, when Romulus Augustulus (reign 475–476) was deposed, or to 480 CE, with the assassination of Julius Nepos (reign 474–480), the last legitimate Western emperor.
Yet Roman power and traditions did not vanish overnight. Latin remained the language of administration, Roman law and coinage persisted, and successor kingdoms drew heavily on Roman models of governance and military organization. Italy, Gaul, Hispania, and North Africa came under the control of groups such as the Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Vandals, and later the Franks, who both disrupted and assimilated Roman traditions. Rather than a sudden collapse, the Migration Period marked a protracted transformation, blending imperial legacies with emerging medieval political and cultural structures that would define Western Euroasia’s future.

During the Russian Civil War, the Red Army’s Kalmyk units wore distinct armbands featuring the swastika with “РСФСР” (Roman:“RSFSR”) inscriptions on them.

Is the anti-war movement in USA just non-existent now? They’ve been at war for ages with Iran and not a peep from the liberals. They truly love imperialism

That’d be great if it didn’t come with his lighting up gyms and dogs policies(and doesn’t mean shit without removing money and money owned media from the electoral equation), glad he’s growing a beard and embracing his CIA operator past tho hope Chasten and kid are doing well

My favorite thing to do at work is make pesto. I make absolutely mind bendingly good pesto and im the only one allowed to make it. We make it with leftover basil stems or the leaves that suck too much to put on pizza and basically whatever else I find around. This is all ratio based to get it right and but here’s the general ides:
1kg basil
1/2 kg arugula
1/2 kg romaine (the romaine is crucial, no idea what it is about it but when blended it mskes the texture perfect and also gives it a super nice bright green color, like guacamole.)
A bunch of parsely, like 4 oz stem included
A handful of mint if you have it, lets say an oz
A handful of pumpkin seeds and a handful of sunflower seeds. Or pine nuts. We avoid them for nut allergy, pumpkin and sunflower combined is better. The pumpkin seed does something to the mix, its got some sort of acid or oil or enzyme, like the romaine, dunno why it works and am trying to learn, but know from doing it twice a week for years, it WORKS
Something like 25-30 raw garlic cloves, half it and add like a shit load of garlic scape if you have it. You need some raw garlic to emulsify. Lemon juice from a lemon, lemon oil if you have it, but just a bit, salt and pepper. Use a blender of some kind, I use an immersion wand which I would say is best but a food processor or blender is fine. Add as little canola oil as you can while gradually adding all the ingredients so it remains almost a paste ans then thin it at the end.
the real tragedy of the kirkening is that they’re going to deprive the world of a director who has mastered the art of cinematic production by putting him in prison
fuck the internet
we can’t actually share music through this bullshit, i need to dance with you for you to get why this is a beautiful grain
