Every once in a while I get the urge to.boot up the auld Discworld MUD, but there’s something quite depressing about a sparsely populated world inhabited by the works of players long past all based on the stories of a dead author.
Just make sure you have a shower after playing in the MUD young theym

I played a couple MUDs in highschool. I recently logged in to the only one still going and was surprised that a few people were logged in, but nobody was active.
One of my highschool friends was horribly addicted to this MUD and I was kind of expecting him to still be playing. I heard from someone years ago that he’d moved on to being addicted to World of Warcraft, though.
