The lids might get damaged and might not seal properly when reused. That’s why I always mark the ones which were pried open by stabbing the top of the lid. This way you can not mistake a potentially damaged lid for a good one

You’re so right all my butterknives have been incapable of spreading butter for years now I shouldve known.
I have been secretly documenting butterknife crimes all this time! The last couple of minutes now since I began! But it’s fine.
