Yeah, I’ve started noticing that happening to me too… people will just interrupt and the conversation goes on without me, even if I’m still talking. It hurts my feelings and makes me wonder why I bothered sharing in the first place

I should have realized so long before I did lol

Jokes on you, I already am a girl :3

Oh, totally! I meant it more like if someone knows that a trans woman goes exclusively by she/her, but chooses to refer to her by they/them. Still better than using he/him! But not quite right, if you know she doesn’t use they/them, you know?
I agree! Harder to actually make my brain shut up though

Two of my favorites! I like your taste 😊

Better buy something else. The next one will be the one to do it, for sure!

Nope. Comments were full of agreement. LinkedIn is a wild place

Likewise, the community on blahaj has been so supportive and helpful as I’ve figured out my gender and started transitioning! It’s a great space

I check the news every morning. One of these days, I’ll see that the little blood clot we’re all rooting for finally won. And that will be such a good day.

This is anti-renewables propaganda, and it’s fucking everywhere now. We need as much as solar as fast as possible, and utility-scale ground mount is the cheapest way to do it. Carport solar is good and necessary, but way more expensive, because the panels are no longer the most expensive part of construction.
Margaret is pretty rad, she inspires me

It makes my heart flutter every time 🥰

Having a script, or at least just an outline, sounds like a good idea. I almost don’t know what I would say beyond “so, I’m trans. Please call me [real name] and use she/her pronouns from now on.”
I just have a hard time knowing what info people need to know, but also not wanting to trigger a bad reaction? I don’t know, it always feels like such a dice roll, the uncertainty is so scary.

Haha I will try stop myself from doing as you do in this case! I am only a little jealous that you knew they would support you.
Luckily, I live on my own with my wife, so they can’t kick me out, but they could cut ties if they want to (and I would prefer they didn’t). But yeah, that’s a good point. After they find out, it’s up to them. And there are plenty of people that I’m already out to who don’t have a problem with it, so it’s not a me thing, if they don’t process it well.

No, it is very much welcome! I sometimes wonder if any of my family have started to pick up clues. Or maybe they think I am growing my hair, painting my nails, and shaving all the time in a very cis way lol. Thank you for sharing, and I hope my brother is as rad as you are!

Having not read the full article, I would think their results point towards a need for more data. If the method of analysis can change the takeaway in any direction, and we’re assuming good faith (big assumption), then we need more good data in order to do better analysis. That said, I don’t really want more researchers poking their heads into our business unless they have earned the community’s trust and are going to act in trans people’s best interests.

Cute! I love it 🥰
Poliovirus agrees and would love fewer vaccinations against it
