I LOVE that he thinks his leaving government to refocus on Tesla will solve the sales issue Tesla has been experiencing.

He just does not get it.

The sad thing is if he steps away from politics, I think the outrage will subside in a couple of months. The public doesn’t have that strong a memory in the best of times, with the pace of news nowadays, very few people will remember how much of problem he was being.

So yes, just locking him out of the spotlight would be enough. His leadership is not great, but distracting him could really save Tesla’s image.

The problems with tesla are not really about his involvement with the government, but that he’s being outcompeted by BYD and other Chinese EV manufacturers.

        Unfortunately, you’re probably right.

Wasn’t Tesla the company that had a person (or group of people) dedicated to distracting him, thereby letting the rest of the company actually do work?

I am hopeful that the pain continues for him. Tesla was the only option for a few years for an EV with >100mile range and a nation wide system for charging. Those things are not true anymore. I mean I got chargers near my visitor center tourist area with a population of ~40k ffs. He had a monopoly and a comically inflated stock valuation. The stock is currently seeing a proper rebalance now that there is competition. Dude had a defacto monopoly, and pissed it away to do two Nazi salutes. He likely will never be actually broke, and Tesla isn’t going away completely anytime soon. But any economic pain he endures is a slight glimmer of hope.

Hitler enjoyed when his inner circle fought with each other. Elon Musk is going out on good terms. The rich have solidarity in their class. Instead of focusing on Elon Musk, maybe you should focus on the dystopic security state that is being built by Palantir. Peter thiel is the anti social Angry gay man who runs that shit.

Literally my first thought as well.

Like if you see a kid with a bruised knee, you don’t assume he’s been in a fight, you know it’s a kid and kids fall down all the time.

          Same with ket addicts.

Yeah, honestly, as much as I want there to be some drama here, he probably did this to himself by accident. The kid punching him story is stupid, fake, gay, dumb, etc. Nobody really believes that shit.

If someone did actually punch him, he would have lost his shit, there would be a much larger fallout.

He’s just a drug addict (not a bad thing, lots of beautiful people are, let’s not shame), who is abusing others around him as a result of his drug abuse. He probably just hit his head on something while fucked on Special K/E/Adderall/etc.

Hating addicts for being addicts, is a bad thing. They’re still people, with full lives, and can be wonderful humans. They may also need help, or they may choose not to get help. The point being, we shouldn’t judge people based on whether or not they’re an addict.

Noone said they were hating him for his drug use. Being a drug addict is a bad thing by definition. If it wasnt a negative for the person we wouldnt call it addiction.

Unfortunately drug addicts are “judged” because they are simply riskier to associate with than a sober person. I’m not sure how many sober people are actually left though, and most people won’t disclose their drug addictions.

It expanded my understanding of their socioeconomic plight, psychological suffering, and physiological vicious cycle, exacerbated by ineffective draconian punitive measures implemented by government. It’s a truly excellent and compassionate book, I found the discussion on brain chemistry fascinating as well, and should be easy enough to find with Libby or at a local library.

In a world where billionaires exist, by rules of ethics, as long as they exist, we are all defending ourselves from them.

His mind is on the verge of becoming complete mush due to drug abuse isn’t it?

He looks and sounds like a druggie that will soon become homeless due to complete disassociation with reality, how can this even happen with personal doctors and clinics, and diets, and cosmetologists and whatever else?

Micheal Jackson had all those things and still OD’d on tranquilizers.

Drugs can be a helluva drug. Also billionaires don’t think that anyone else has the right to tell them “no”.

Also, Musk is notoriously overconfident that he can learn anything better than experts. No doubt in my mind he’s decided how much ketamine and other drugs he “needs,” and has pliant doctors to agree.

Also, billionaires have enough money to find a doctor who will tell them, “yes.”
