You can’t ruin Canada for me. It’s a golden land to my north where everyone is polite in both English and French, the people put cheese and gravy on their French fries and no one goes into healthcare debt!
I’m American, and happened to be on a tourist bus in London. Sitting to my right were a group of Quebecois. To my left a pair of Newfies. I talked to both groups independently over the course of the trip. Both groups were incredibly friendly and engaging to talk to! However, both groups were staring daggers at each other whenever they’d look in each other’s direction. Each group of the Canadians were not particularly polite to each other.
Montrealer here, I just got back from my first trip to NYC, maybe I went to the wrong places but these people were all sweet and soft spoken, maybe not chatty in particular but far from rude and all the other shit I’ve heard about New Yorkers. I and my fellow Canadians are definitely more rude and loud than this.
I saw an old meme from the second world war that described people from different countries and Canadians were described as hot headed and I can definitely see that image when compared to the Americans I’ve met in American cities.
I suppose, but where else do you get to legally threaten a bad driver with a brick? That sounds like fun!
It’s Vancouver, it’s only legal if you’re smoking crack while you wave the brick.
VPD loves to harass anyone else.

Not everyone is polite.
This a video of the famous Balcony Guy during the ‘freedom protests.’
La la la can’t hear you!
Then turn the volume up, eh.
To be fair, the people he was yelling at were being pretty rude
