It would be nice if there were more easy self-hostable search indexers that various orgs could provide. Most of the time you don’t really need a global internet-wide search service. Like just a some major news sites, reddit, etc. are enough to cover most things.

Google now routes many search result links through google.com/goto redirects instead of exposing destination URLs directly. The change aims to hinder scrapers and AI data collectors.
