I wonder if there are regulations or something they’re trying to get around? Usually septic system are only sized for a certain amount of use and one of the ways this is enforced in the US to prevent septic failures is to limit the number of bathrooms (or maybe toilets?) a house can have before the septic needs upgrading. The latter can be out of responsible financial reach even for a good chunk of the PMC.

I don’t think he’s worse than most chuds by any means but Linus Sebastian (Linus Tech Tips founder and to my knowledge owner) annoys the fuck out of me. Not because of his voice or clickbait-ass thumbnails that he sometimes pretends are the only criticisms he gets, but because he genuinely seems like a tyrant who gets a pass on so much bullshit by having good charisma for tech bro standards. And I say this as someone who was charitable to him for way too long because I was young and impressionable and liked LTT videos. Actually I think that is why I bring him up over some far, far worse youtubers.

There’s drip and then there’s the deluge this man’s got.
For anyone reading this who needs to hear it, it’s very possible to become addicted to anything that causes you to experience a dopamine high. That’s kinda the point of dopamine as I understand it: it makes you want to do something again. If your relationship with that activity becomes dysfunctional, you could very easily find that your desire to engage with it has become a need to engage with it without you even noticing the shift until you try to stop. The chuddy framing of a “gooner epidemic” where the blame for it is shifted to sex workers and sexual liberation is wrong. From my perspective, there seems to be an epidemic of untreated addiction in general where I am driven by the slow collapse of civil society in the imperial core. So please don’t avoid facing and seeking help if you need it for harmful addictions just because the subject of your addiction is usually perfectly healthy in moderation.
