I was playing some Star Wars: Survivor

I started it back when it came out and then lost interest, so now I’m giving it another go.

Working through Glup Shitto: Zero Company. I’ve gotten through the big obvious Star Wars spoiler part. The autistic bug is my favorite and she comes on virtually every mission.

Playing through Proverbs when Zero Company gives me decision fatigue. It’s a giant minesweeper puzzle and a huge delight.

Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord.

This here is the Commodore 64 version, which supports the Commodore 1764 RAM Expansion Module. Non-shockingly, Wizardry fucking rules. I’ve been mapping some of the floors myself, it’s a very chill game to just play for hours. If I was in 1981 I would have become a Wizardry addict tbh.

Unfortunately(?) they have made a good Star Wars game for the first time in like 20 years so I’ve been playing the hell out of that. The writing is surprisingly good also, very funny game.

Arknights is getting its Russian Revolution-themed story update in a couple days, complete with a trailer set to post Soviet rock. Always interesting to see how Chinese devs tackle topics like this. The new characters should have an option for Russian voice acting too.

Also, Danganronpa 2x2 has a release date (late January). 2014 is back baby

ive been playing 40k darktide with my wife (as i do most weeks) and i started playing the witcher 3 only to find out they are releasing a free remaster update at the end of the month so im just gonna wait for that

also been big walking with my sisters which has been fun

anddd i tried out iron nest which is surprisingly fun for a game thats essentially just sitting in an artillery cannon plotting firing trajectories. not sure how i feel about the aesthetics of the game but its cool

We have arrived at Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. This game has a lot of interesting ideas that are just not executed very well. At least I’m about done with it.

I played Minishoot’ Adventures - a cute metroidvania where you play a ship. It was a pretty fun 8 hour adventure.

I’m having a hard time finding something new to play. The new Fire Emblem is coming out this coming week and I might get that. Until then it’s probably going to be FFXIV - just got all jobs to level 50 - and Metroid Dread - Metroid Ravenous made the last direct my absolute favorite direct.

I’m playing Lies of P for the first time! I love a good souslike but I never buy a game for over $20, I just can’t justify the expense when I can barely afford food for my cat. So I’ve been wanting to play it for years, patiently waiting for a deep sale, knowing how much everyone raves about how great of a game it is. But since it is such a beloved title, it has stayed expensive (I still haven’t played Elden Ring for the same reason). LoP did finally go on sale for $30 recently - half off with no DLC. And it probably won’t get any cheaper than that for another couple years. I couldn’t resist so I splurged and got it.

I’m only a couple hours in having just started playing it yesterday, so I can’t give a fair assessment yet, but I am definitely enjoying it so far.

I like the “guard regain” mechanic for earning back hp via attacks, encouraging pro-active and aggressive playstyle, like Bloodborne had and did, but with LoP tying the health-regain specifically to damage you take while guarding (blocking) which BB did not have is a cool way of doing it. Kinda like having your cake and eating it too wrt pushing that fast and aggressive play while also retaining blocking as a valid, even necessary form of defense. It’s very satisfying combat, responsive but weighty enough to feel the oomph, “crunchy.”

I haven’t figured out the handle/blade mix’n’match mechanic yet (it was only just now introduced) but it looks interesting and promising, same with the legion arm mechanic and to a much smaller degree the “defense parts” which breaks up the way armor traditionally worked. The aesthetic isn’t quite as cool as I remember Bloodborne’s in terms of weird, dark, victorian-gothic vibe, but I wouldn’t expect it to be, with LoP leaning a little more towards steampunk rather than cosmic horror. That’s not to say the artistic design isn’t great, because it is, and there’s plenty of room for either aesthetic to flourish, so we’ll see. Level design is extremely important to me, though I guess that’s true for most people, and I know that’s supposed to be one of the reasons Lies of P is considered such a great game, so I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with that.

Anyway, I’m stoked to finally be playing it. (Do people still say “stoked”?)

my partner has been doing lots of the sims and even got us the furry mod which has been super fun (only wish it was easier to make our fursonas more accurately but they’re close enough). she gets our sims lots of money by making them do their tasks and then i get to use it to decorate our little house.

Children of Morta is 90% off on Steam so I’ll jump into that. I’ve already played it before and it’s a banger! Beautiful pixel art and fun gameplay.

I’ve been playing a roguelike deckbuilder on my phone called Dawncaster. I never play mobile games but this one is great. I highly recommend it to the deckbuilder sickos out there

like 80% through with the main story

I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit. But it’s pretty long so I’m also looking forward to seeing the game wrap up now.

Finished fire emblem three houses with golden deer; very satisfying conclusion. About half way through zero company now, really enjoying it.

Mostly waiting on new fire emblem game next week.

I started playing Black Mesa. I’ve never played half life before, it’s and oldy but fun

Been playing Tales Of Destiny, I’m 6 hours into it. I really like the battle system, it’s like a mix of turn based combat and side scrolling beat 'em up.

Got to the end of Torna in my switch to xbc replay. Decided to get back into bloodborne. Running a skill build and it’s fun to to riposte
