I have PMOS and always have had a problem with excessive body hair and I am so sick of it
All I can think of is laser hair removal clinics but those are expensive. Has anyone found a solution that won’t make me broke/give me cancer?

I’m in the same situation, but from a different intersex condition.

On the highest setting, 5, this thing actually works. It’s essentially the same thing they use at a laser removal clinic. It’ll thin things out substantially but there will likely be a number of pesky hairs that come back. It’s worth getting your own device instead of going to professional sessions.
Maybe try a professional (or professional-ish) one if you can get a Groupon or something first, just to give it a try and see if it’s something you want to continue to do.
Holy shit does it hurt. The tria is like 3/4 as powerful as the one they used in a few sessions I did with a dermatologist but it still hurts like hell.
Why are you doing this to me?? Jk, but then again not. I got my face done in a studio (6th session done last week) but that is shit is so expensive I would have to slave away only for that the next years if I want my body done. And I got body hair like in the trialaser advertisement… I used an IPL from Phillips but I was underwhelmed with the results. My question I guess is, can I really do it with trialaser before I am frustrated?
I think I had like 3 or 4 sessions at the dermatologist for my face but it wasn’t complete or totally permanent. I think a decent amount didn’t come back, but what’s still there is really annoying. I need to dig my Tria back out and have my wife do it because it hurts too much for me to do it to myself without flinching and pulling it away instinctively.
IPL doesn’t really work very well and is incredibly underwhelming. I’d maybe continue to use the IPL device on your body or legs because it’s going to cover a larger area than the tria, but the Tria will actually remove hairs permanently or demi-permanently (gone for many months or years, but it might come back eventually) the same as a studio unit.
Treat the IPL device more like shaving or epilation, it will slow regrowth of hairs and may have a chance of removing a few.
Damn. So the Tria is not really usable for the body due to the small surface it gets at once? And yeah I would also have too hard of a time using that thing on my face if it hurts like the studio. And i do flinch above the lip. Impossible not to.
At least the face can be covered in reasonable time I guess. Can’t imagine I find someone willing to do my leg. Gotta go for tinder or something with “I do your legs, you do mine. I have the device” 😂
I will have to think it over. Right now I have no money anyways but I do want to “attack” my body hair in winter because shaving my hair every second day is just too much of a hassle. And while I say ‘power to you’ to anyone showing off their body hair I simply won’t wear the clothing I want to.
It’s very slow; impractical for large areas. It’s not really good for face and neck either, between the slowness, the pain from lack of cooling, and the difficulty of aiming a laser at your own face.
God damn but thanks, I would probably have regretted getting one. Seems like I will just have to life like a nun for the next two years and go to a studio.
Sorry and you’re welcome
If it’s any consolation, the results are worth it. And compare prices! Check groupon! There’s probably a deal to be had out there.
It’s definitely usable, it’s just gonna take forever to cover the entire body.
My wife is east Asian and has very little body hair. Makes me extremely jealous.
Oh yeah i understand big time. A trans friend of mine was also like “not sure if I should do my arms next” and she has these few very light hairs that are just how i wish I had them. I got real fur, dark too. Good for laser though I guess.
Hmm maybe I will pay my mom to do it. Should be possible once a month and will still be much cheaper than the studio. 2000€ just because my beard makes me dysphoric since I was a teenager. Smh.
Thank you and BRING ON THE PAAAAAIN
