It’s not that surprising. The hyperrealistic AI filter really doesn’t work with games with anime aesthetics and makes everyone look much older. If it instead made every woman’s skin smoother and gave them pornstar makeup and bigger boobs they’d love it

A video showing off ludicrously modded Minecraft gameplay with ray-traced lighting, photorealistic water, 4k textures, actual physics and one of those mods that make the world not blocky is at least impressive to look at on a purely technical level because it’s all a “real” simulation running on someone’s machine. AI hallucinated graphics just don’t mean anything to me

There’s far too many g*mers out there who want everything to be photorealistic gritty ultrarealism, sometimes it’s an artistic choice, I’ve never even played Minecraft and a photorealistic Minecraft is both unappealing as a concept and something that completely misses the point to me.
Just let people enjoy things that aren’t realistic-looking, Wind Waker was not in fact bad because it had cel-shaded graphics.
