It does not seem like all those gay people are having babies in Japan right now either

Who the fuck is still talking about Chinese overpopulation? Feels like something you’d hear during the first Bush administration

This might also be a “if women could just choose to shack up with other women they would never bother pursuing a relationship with a man” type argument which I’ve seen before. The sentiment seems more specific to Asian countries where genders are still more rigidly segregated

Top ten thing the average guy will say casually and get high-fived but if anyone else even ponders saying they get hatecrimed.

I think I speak for a lot of lesbians when I say that straight women are a thing lol. Honestly, without getting into it, I am on the ace spectrum, and holy shit it was (and tbh is) confusing to watch girls go after the biggest assholes. Knowing about sexual attraction really helped with that. (of course it’s not the only thing, but I’m pretty damn sure it helps). Like girl, you deserve better.

I remember reading this entire novel length comment blaming homosexuality on modern school and workplace culture being too gender segregated. They argued that in modern society men and women mostly socialise only among their own gender from a very young age which leads into them being unable to form relationships with the opposite gender and to choose same sex relationships over heterosexual marriage. I think they advocated for government sponsored social mixers for young people or something, lol

It was interesting to see a slightly different flavour of homophobia from what you see from a typical Western or Christian perspective

There’s a half truth there; social norms that stigmatize young boys and girls from socializing with each other up until their teens or young adulthood, then they’re expected to go straight to dating/marriage courtship, do skip over the crucial low-stakes friendship stage. So it puts them in this position where they don’t know how to interact with the opposite sex while being thrown into this high-pressure dating landscape, and that leads to a lot of people failing at courtship and not being able to see partners as friends.

The homosexuality part is nonsense, obviously. Hell, the prevailing stereotype of gay men is that they always have a good deal of women in their friend group.

Yeah, at no point did they even insinuate that queer people are a Communist/Jewish/Satanic plot to weaken the white race/Christendom. They pinned the blame on gay people existing on modern society but didn’t call for a RETVRN to the 1950s or homesteading

Are birth rates declining because of a culture of overworking young adults to the point of exhaustion, leaving little time for forming relationships? No, we must force the gays to have children with partners they aren’t attracted to.

I gotta be honest with everyone here…

I’m actually only gay because it’s the best form of birth control, and I don’t want to create more white people.

    Also, transitioning is white genocide…

At least that’s why I’m doing it. It’s for the planet.

Same sex partners get surrogates/adoptions all the time, it’s not like being in a same sex relationship automatically precludes child rearing.

I think this might be coming from a place where sexual orientation is not really seen as a real thing. Everyone’s a little into everyone but society has to push for heteronormativity because that’s how babby is formed

Overpopulation? But I thought China was lying about their population numbers and actually only has 500 million people! At least that’s what some chuds told me. So which one is it?

Wild considering the allowance of same set unions actually increases the number of potential households that can support children. But of course the point is just cruelty.

“Collectivism is a bad bad thing for meanie poos!” MFs talking about how minorities being able to enjoy more individualism is evil because it hurts the collective.

You can’t have it both ways. If there’s no “we”, guess what? There’s NO FUCKING WE when you want me to be held back for your comfort.

While atomized, americanized types would certainly connect many civil rights to “inidividualism,” there is clearly nothing inherently “individualist” about supporting gay marriage (etc.). You are making the liberals’ case for them.

“Collectivism” doesn’t mean “everyone needs to be made into the same person,” it means that society is formed around an interest in the common good, and gay people having civil rights is part of the common good.

You know, I never thought of it that way. I always thought individualism and collectivism were things that can be both be used for good and bad, with many civil rights just so happening to be individualism’s high point.

Please, people in the U.S. literally think half of the Chinese population is living through subsistence farming.

They cannot even imagine how the world actually looks.
