I guess you can talk about podcasts too. I’m getting back into them. Years and years ago I bought an app for this but now I redownloaded it and I see it’s a monthly subscription. Screw that shit. Surely there’s something free or one time cheap.
Ideally I want it to auto download and manage the library for me but I’ll manage it myself if that means I don’t have to pay a subscription.
Anyway help me listen to podcasts again. Thank you

I use podcast addict and it seems fine. People kept saying other apps are better but they all either to subscription or break or end up sucking or they’re the default apple podcast app.
I don’t think there is any reason to use anything other than Antennapod.
I use pocketcasts on the free tier and it does all that for me, I’ve been happy with it. You can download, auto queue, have per podcast playback speed and skip a certain amount at the start all for free
