IDK, sometimes a hunch is all you can go by. I don’t follow Hasan or any other political streamers, i’m not American, i can’t judge how the discourse about Platner really plays out aside from Hexbear threads that have the predictable mix of 99% “he’s a war criminal nazi, ofc he’s also a domestic abuser” and 1% totally unhinged “we must do a lesser evilism or the zionists win, you wokescolds”.
What i can say is that this guy’s entire biography was a giant PR disaster waiting to happen, especially if you run him on any leftist platform. It seems the US has a massive demand for politicians who offer the mildest social democratic policies imaginable and look as if Walter White and Shrek had a baby and now the baby is all grown up and drinks too much and has had a run-in with gas station stimulants that went for a bit too long, so i see why people would bank their hopes on this guy, but the slightest bit of vetting should have made it clear that this campaign was a minefield and it doesn’t seem as if Fight Agency was actually prepared for that.

IMO, it’s a psyop to poison anti-Zionism sentiment by associating it with Nazism. Zionism has been discredited, so what do you do? You wheel out some “pro-Palestinian” dipshit crayon eater with a Nazi tattoo. Some people will be turned off by anti-Zionism because they see a false Nazi connection, perhaps even become captured by Zionism again as a liberal Zionist. Others will go, “The only visibly anti-Zionist people are Nazis, so perhaps I’ve misjudged on the Nazis” and be herded towards Nick Fuentes, who’s also controlled opposition. The point is that real anti-Zionism ie socialism can never flourish. Ideally, they want to ideologically herd people back to Zionism, but they can settle for fascist “anti-Zionism.”
Every dumbass influencer like Hasan fell for it again, and now that the rug is being pulled, people are going to associate those influencers with drawing the line at SA while condoning Nazi iconography, thus reinforcing anti-Zionism = Nazism. They all got played like a fiddle. No theyre not. Of the minority who know how these streamers are at all, very few of them will be aware of bullshit like this, and even fewer will care in the long term.
