      researchers believe many factors such as the group size and subsequent competition of resources, and “male-male competition” for reproducing may be to blame.

      They are alluding to the base being more responsible for conflict than the superstructure but lack the framework to put it together.

    This doesn’t surprise me in the least. I have been saying for a couple of years now that animals are gaining sentience. Earlier this week I read another article about about primates making weapons.
