Games@hexbear.net•Sunday is Gaming Day: What Are You Playing Weekly ThreadEnglish
1·12 days agoI downloaded Monster Hunter World again. I tried it a couple years ago and bounced off of it immediately. It was just super clunky and had way too many walls of text in the tutorial which i naturally skipped. Obviously i didn’t know how anything worked because i skipped the tutorials.
I uninstalled it again, but came back to it a few months later. Same result. I did this a couple more times until now.
Now, I have been playing it for 40hrs and it is pretty fun. I don’t know what changed within me though. I still skipped all tutorials, but figured out how the game mechanics work by myself and i switched to a different weapon than the previous times (switch axe over the bow gun).
One more important thing is that i am cheating lol. I have an overlay that tells me the health of the monster and it’s status effects. It also shows the monster through the walls, but that doesn’t matter as much because you already have a quest marker of the monster when you track it. The overlay is pretty helpful in figuring out if i am doing enough damage or if i need to upgrade my weapon though.
After this i might go back to expedition 33 because there are new updates or the final fantasy 7 remake since i haven’t played any FF games yet.

news@hexbear.net•After Trump's announcement that he will cut off all trade with Spain for refusing to support Israel, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visits China for the fourth time in four years.English
9·12 days agoWhy is Spain so based? They are obviously still neoliberals, but they do seem to be going against the grain.
Is there any material reason?

Also, tools have been a thing for a while in primates and weapons are just tools of warfare

news@hexbear.net•Israel conducts airstrike on China-Iran railway, marking first direct strike on Belt and Road core assetEnglish
1·14 days agoBecause we are not countries? Consumption is not trade.
Also, this requires you to believe that China is playing both sides here which nakes no sense considering how important Iran is for China and how unimportant Israel is for them.

5·14 days agoAmerica is keeping their unsinkable carrier afloat by itself. Trade is not support.
It’s mostly about being able to counter the 996 myth with a liberal source. A china friendly post will always be rejected as propaganda.
I also don’t think it really entrenches a new myth of them being lazy. That would go against the narrative of the CPC being a totalitatian dictatorship, as naps, low quality work and late documents are not exactly part of that story. In that way, the new laziness myth would actually work against the rest of the propaganda which positions the entire population as mindless worker drones that don’t have time to question their state.

news@hexbear.net•BREAKING: The US Officials realize they're dumb as fuck.English
12·2 months agoOkay, that helped me put it into a better perspective I think. We just heard a lot of these news and (ex-)CIA members talking about the upcoming downfall of the US that I got a bit suspicious if we aren’t falling for their propaganda just because they are saying things that we like.
Thank you!

news@hexbear.net•BREAKING: The US Officials realize they're dumb as fuck.English
29·2 months agoSay, I have been wondering something for a while; we always say that libs only ever listen to propaganda outlets and CIA sources to form their opinions.
How is it that when these same sources say something negative about the west, that we can just believe them?
I am scared of false optimism and really don’t want to fall for some trap of them making us think that the US is a “paper tiger” and that the reality is actually that they purposefully make themselves seem weak and disorganised while making tactical minor gains or something.
Can someone help me out here? I am just not educated enough to be able to take news like this and place it into its correct geopolitical context.

About to start RE9 with my GF. She wants to get a bit more into gaming and i am trying to find games that are fun to watch (Expedition 33) or are still fun if you are terrible at controlling the game world (low stake 2D games) and of course coop games that are “little brother/GF friendly” (it takes two, split fiction).
Recently i also have been playing “lost and found co.” With her and it has been a lot of fun. She really helps me in enjoying some of these games that I would never touch otherwise.
