For everyone in the US here, there is currently a FDA petition to create a federal registry of all trans women taking HRT. The FDA is currently taking public comments supporting and opposing the petition. Here’s a link on how to make your voice heard: https://transresilience.org/issues/fda-registry.
You can comment anonymously if you feel unsafe putting your name out there.
I’ve read some of the comments and most of them so far seem to be from transphobic ppl.
They can’t help harassing trans folks. The fact that it’s for trans women only makes it even worse and non-sense
What the fuck?
return of the pink triangle
the petition does much more than just create a registry, much more concerning to me is that it eliminates informed consent and introduces psychiatric gatekeeping to get access to HRT, as well as listing that access as “unapproved” and “unlawful”
damn… this is clearly Antifa’s fault

Why do they focus on targeting trans women so much compared to trans men? Testosterone is a far more regulated drug than estrogen after all.
Because they live in constant terror of unknowingly finding a trans woman attractive.
That is exactly why they try to pass more laws targetting trans women: testosterone being a controlled substance means that they can regulate that via medication restrictions. Estrogen isn’t a controlled substance, meaning you can buy it pretty much anywhere for any reason. So to stop trans people who want estrogen, usually trans women, they have to pass other laws.
Also, a lot of bills do actually target all groups of trans people, but people will report it as only impacting trans women. The Supreme Court UK decision is a particularly bad example, where trans women were banned from women’s restrooms and locker rooms and trans men were banned from both mens AND women’s spaces. Most reporting only said it restricted trans women and didn’t even mention that it affected trans men, or that trans men were even worse off for it.
Do you not think that the first people put on the list will be the comments posted to their petition? Use a fake name and a VPN.
What “category” should we choose?
Below is my comment so far, made without much thought (outside of trying to keep it clean & vaguely respectable) because this administration & its supporters have depressed me so much already that I just typed what first came to mind. Constructive input is welcome because I’m not trans (but dammit we’re ALL human beings deserving of respect and fair treatment), so I’m not sure if I’m screwing something up, or should be taking a less emotional approach for better effect. TIA.
When does the unjustifiable hate stop?! When do people stop interfering in the lives of others that have no effect upon their own? When does reason, logic, sanity, fairness, compassion, respect, etc start to matter to this administration? There is NO reasonable justification for this nonsense. There is more justification for making a registry for those hating people who are different from them because there is PLENTY of historical evidence demonstrating that THEY are the REAL threat to society.
I’m trans and I approve this message!
For category, i used drug administration, but idk if thats the best option
Thank you for the response! I’m glad I didn’t trip over myself in my rush to express what I was feeling while it was fresh in my head.
I’m gonna wait a day or two to make sure nobody else has any suggestions before I submit. I’ll post my final version if it changes in any significant way, & confirm submission when I do.
I’m strongly leaning toward including my actual name as an indication of how seriously I take this, but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk - both of tying it to my screenname (which goes back at least a quarter century for me on various sites), and the risk of inviting IRL retribution. I know it’s unlikely to make any real difference in what the assholes running things currently are likely to do, but I’d also rather not give them an easy excuse to be dismissive of my input. Any thoughts on that?
I had the same thoughts about them dismissing anonymous comments, and I included my full legal deadname for good measure. I definitely do not recommend doing that unless you are fully confident with it
