I noticed this in the mcdonalds parking lot, so I poked around in it with a stick to try to clear the drainage path.
I came to the conclusion that it has no outlet at all, it’s a permanent stagnant pond. It stinks pretty bad.
Contact your local mosquito control agency and report it, I’m sure they’ll be impressed and might even get the ball rolling towards making McDonalds do something to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, post a professional looking printed and laminated sign that says something like “MOSQUITO POND - Please protect the local mosquito population - Thanks, McSquitoes”
I think I will do all of this
Awesome, let us know how it goes in the long run, and make sure to post a photo of whatever sign you come up with… 👍
I live in Texas, so any amount of water is an instant mosquito source. I legit made a “mosquito pond” for the little bastards to lay their eggs, which provides an excellent food source for the cheap ass minnows i stock the pond with …

Sounds like an average McDonalds to me.
Put a # TODO comment on it
That is not a drain, it is technically now a sump.
This is why I always carry liquid hand soap
Drink it you coward
Just typical laziness. Sees problem. Doesn’t solve problem. Complains about problem.
McDonald’s has straws.
It should have been filled with gravel. The kind fine enough to be used in an aquarium.
Or, now hear me out…
Cement a toilet seat on top of it.
I though the idea was to remove the stink?
LOL, you think McDonald’s won’t notice if people start pranking them like that? It’ll end up forcing them to do something to fix the drainage issue…
They just gonna erect an outhouse around the toilet.
