the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

What in the hell is going on over there

Trump can’t be Hitler. That’s giving him WAY too much credit. Trump is a buffoon.

Edit, I ran it through Mistral AI and got a similar pairing…

Vladimir Putin → Joseph Stalin (Authoritarian rule, cult of personality, expansionist tendencies)

Xi Jinping → Mao Zedong (Centralized power, personality cult, national rejuvenation)

Donald Trump → Benito Mussolini (Populist rhetoric, nationalist appeal, contentious relationship with media/opposition)

Narendra Modi → Winston Churchill (Nationalist leadership, strong oratory, global assertiveness)

Emmanuel Macron → Charles de Gaulle (Modernizer, nationalist vision, emphasis on independence)

Kim Jong-un → Adolf Hitler (Totalitarian control, personality cult, extreme suppression)

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan → Francisco Franco (Erosion of democratic norms, strongman image, religious/nationalist appeal)

Joe Biden → Franklin D. Roosevelt (Steady leadership, alliance-building, focus on recovery)

Ali Khamenei → Emperor Hirohito (Religious/political authority, symbolic and real power)

Olaf Scholz → Konrad Adenauer (Pragmatic, consensus-driven, economic stability)

      Donald Trump → Benito Mussolini

ok but mussolini actually wrote his own books and laid out the theoretical framework of fascism in a material way, the guy was pretty smart for a fascist shitheel. trump isnt that, hes a sockpuppet for much smarter fascist shitheels

Kim Jong-un → Adolf Hitler (Totalitarian control, personality cult, extreme suppression)

kim jong un hasnt conquered literally anything wtf, is this ai generated?

Also - Modi being compared to Churchill is a bit suspect when you remember what Churchill thought about Indians, and how many Indians he killed.

Modi probably wouldn’t mind the comparison, given the bootlicking and internalized white-supremacist mentality of Hindu nationalists. Churchill would have been outraged at such a comparison though

Ledditors would probably repeat the very serious and academically supported story that KIS actually stole the identity/valor of a deceased Korean Anti-Japanese War hero just to swoop in and claim power.

Which is a hilarious cope theory that makes no sense at all if you think about it for even one second. A war hero so popular that his identity could be used to gain mass support, but also so unknown that nobody knew him or what he looked like. Wouldn’t it be easier just to fabricate a war hero story for Kim Il-Sung instead of stealing someone else’s identity and risking being caught in the lie by loved ones/associates?

Sorry, I meant an Anti-Japanese War hero, obviously he was a public figure during the Korean War.

Of course, I think the only basis is that “Kim Il-Sung” is a nom-de-guerre that many Korean guerillas used (his birth name was Kim Song-Ju) and as guerillas using false names, there was some level of secrecy and transience against a genocidal foe that makes attribution more difficult, but fundamentally you’re right that that doesn’t mean no other veterans knew him during the war (many did), nor do I think there was ever anyone with the DPRK who claimed he was a pretender in that manner, it was just the pet project of a South Korean conspiracy theorist that for a period was taught as fact but later abandoned.

Okay tankies, the parallels are obvious to anyone who has ever read a history book (I recommend Harry Potter):

-Charlie Chaplin’s most famous roles are Hitler and The Tramp, or should I say… The Drampf? owl-wink

-Stalin was the leader of a state which does not exist anymore and Netanyahu is also the leader of a state that isn’t real

-Mao didn’t like landlords and Putin lives rent free in the head of every liberal
