I went to restock on my pitstick and I struggled to find it due to the redesign
I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw it as it now looks so damn similar to one of friend’s suits
I like (and exclusively use) this one, but it’s damn expensive.
Likewise
Good news is that we don’t have to buy it very often at least
Old spice has gone up like 50% since covid so I switched. Shit is like $9 a stick here
A stick? Not even the aerosol?
OWO…someone stinky?! :3
:3 not anymore, I’m citrusy now
Missed opportunity to use citrussy ;)
What that citrusy do?
Zesty flavour!
Balanitis
They see “24/7” on the packaging and only use it once per week.
Stupid Manly Man name, but it’s the best scent - really sweet and fruity like Sweet Tarts candy.
Bwahahahahahaha
Old spice looks tasty :3
Furies love this one trick
Dont be shy, post the friend’s suit 👀
When I asked them if I could share a picture of their suit they said they’d prefer if I didn’t, so unfortunately I can’t share any pics of it.
They’ve only had it now for a little less than a year so I understand why they’re a bit cagey about sharing pictures of it out of context
That’s so valid, hope they have a great time with it!
As long as they don’t rename Swagger to Flounce or Frolic I’ll be okay
The wolfthorn scent is nice though, but I always preferred the dry white style which I can’t seem to find anymore.
One of us, one of us
Wow that looks bad. Huge downgrade
Women’s products have scents like ‘lavender’ and ‘peach.’
Men’s have names like ‘wolf thorn’ and ‘black ice.’
“Wolfthorn” is orange, lychee, coconut, and pineapple. At least according to my search just now.
I once had a deodorant whose scent was “trench warfare”. Gave me a little chuckle every time. I think my current scent is “Livid Monarchism” or something. Lavender is nice too though.
Uhhh that gun powder, piss and death scent 🥵
/s
Mixed with crotchrot
Don’t forget the sweet but savory smell of mustard gas
Mmmm spicy wind.
I get that after eating a hot pastrami sandwich.
Yes, company, please tell us all what “naval supremacy” smells like
Mine’s leather and cookies.
I have a facial cream “for men”, the sales pitch was how it shields your skin when braving sharp winds and weather xD
I’m pretty sure you could sell bubbly baths to men, just by arguing about the heat insulation of the foam and how much more effective it is to keep the water warm
or a tactical bra that keeps you ergonomic and secuted
in case you need to run up and down a flight of stairs to rescue a family of 5 from a burning building
Cool, I’m going to need way more abstraction and euphemism to shelter the tissue of masculinity I cloak myself in though 😎
Does it do a better job than Vaseline?
I also enjoy how it’s apparently “sweet citrus scent”. I was expecting “wolf thorn” to smell like a lot of things, but neither sweet nor citrus was one of them…
I did a search and saw one plant called ‘wolf thorn’
Wolf thorn [one word or two] sounds like a character in a ‘GOT’ ripoff.
Also, according to my spellcheck function, ‘wolfthorn’ is not a word.
Ah, good point that it might be a plant after all. Apparently, it’s native to South Africa: https://kumbulanursery.co.za/plants/lycium-oxycarpum
No idea, if they’d actually brand a fragrance with such a relatively unknown plant, and that webpage unfortunately doesn’t say whether the plant is citrusy or sweet, but another name for it is “honey-thorn”, so…

My guess is that the marketing department comes up with the names [after extensive research] and then they randomly assign those names to whatever product comes along.
Research seems mixed as to which gender is more aware of scents.
I’m pretty sure it’s all about the names. They are betting that women like ‘pretty’ names associated with things they know, and the guys want something that sounds badass, whatever it actually smells like.
I accidentally bought a bodywash that’s apparently 50% menthol. It smells like cough syrup
I… just want unscented deodorant, and the one brand I’ve been buying since high school seems to be trying to kill the unscented line because only one store around me carries it anymore. And none of the other common brands have an unscented variety around.
I guess I’ll switch to the lavender if I have to.
Life pro tip: Use a block of alum… It’s competely unscented. Just gotta wet it a bit before use.
And lasts for ages. You can also use it to stop bleeding, though it STINGS.
This is what I did back when I shaved.
I didn’t realize it could also function as deodorant or antiperspirant, that’s cool.
Yeah, alum, usually potassium alum, is just a solid block of one of the ingredients used in antiperspirants to plugs up sweat glands to keep you from sweating as much. That’s partially how it works as a styptic - it’s irritating, so blood vessels will contract, but it also just plugs up some of the smallest vessels. Its use was much more common before the widespread adoption of electric razors, even if just as a little styptic pencil.
Yes, I’m one of those hobby shaving people.
Good information, though. Thanks!
Can confirm on both counts.
When my dad found out the aftershave he used since high school was being discontinued he bought two cases of it.
That was about 15 years ago and he’s only halfway through the first case.
I’m probably going to inherit a lot of it. Sadly I don’t shave.
Couldn’t he just have used isopropyl alcohol?
Didn’t smell right
Bearded or woman?
Bearded
As someone who gives less fucks with each passing day, I fuck with Scentbird. After decades of masculinity and musk, I now combine those with florals, feminine perfumes, and shit.
I’ve gotten more positive feedback from the moms at school pickup, than I ever did just wearing cologne. Like standing there at the edge of the group, “what’s that smell? It’s kinda floral but not just that? That’s amazing!” chatter, and I gave them my wrist to check, and confirmed.
Wasn’t this the point of CK One?
most people LOVE a man with some femininity in them
Fuck yeah, rock it. I am a naturally very manly smelling person, sometimes to my dismay, so I always stayed with scents that “matched”: cedar, sandalwood, rosemary, juniper, bergamot, and the like. I often smelled like a lumber mill or a very conversational pot roast.
I got a scent sampler pack from Boy Smells a bit ago and I get so many compliments from others when I wear them.
conversational pot roast.
I wanna see that OldSpice
NGL finding deodorant that doesn’t smell awful is kinda hard for me. My sense of smell is easily my most sensitive sense which makes a lot of things really overwhelming. (So many new things I buy need to be left to air out for a day or more before I can use them)
Especially if it’s marketed to men. So many men’s products have smells like “Smoke, tobacco, whisky, etc” and I’m just sitting here going “I don’t want to smell like shit, I wanna smell nice”
This one though IMO is one of my favorites, it smells nice and fruity and it’s not over powering. It’s subtle.
And it plays really nicely with my shampoo and body wash.
Wolfthorn is straight up delicious.
There was one time, specifically, I’d lied down for bed, post shower, arms raised fully above my head, arched back, presenting, and I thought to myself, “what thE FUCK SMELLS So good?!” And it was me. And it was a great feeling. It was citrus.
