In the video, BoyBoy and Ididathing create a statue to represent the victims of genocide in Gaza. The statue is a blocky humanoid figure with a keffiyeh.

They secretly install overnight the statue at an art show called ‘Sculpture by the Sea’ in Sydney Australia. The statue is removed the next morning.

In 2022, ‘Sculpture by the Sea’ showcased many statues in support of Ukraine. The event does not feature statues in support of Gaza or Palestinians.

BoyBoy says that the event allows statues in support Ukraine but not Gaza because Ukraine aligns with US foreign policy and US foreign policy is against the existence of Palestine.

These boys are definitely going to jail eventually. Maybe not for this but they’re going to want to get them eventually.

Oh for sure. I do think he was being pretty serious when he asked if a year of prison was really that bad. He’s mentally preparing for whatever finally gets him. rat-salute-2

Yeah it did sound very much like “ehhh I can probably do it”.

They’re making videos of Palestine Action protesters getting arrested and re-arrested and arrested again so there’s some sort of self-awareness going on “if these people can do it, we need to be willing to”.

Like, this is what it is to commit to your ideals at the end of the day, even when the state criminalises those ideals.

Eh, 99/100 the sponsored section is really easy to skip past, and I’ve used my friend’s Sponsorblocked YouTube a few times and sometimes it fucks up the edit in weird ways. Plus sometimes the sponsored section is actually funny, like it’s clear Alex and Alexia didn’t give a shit about this sponsor and I got a chuckle out of it.

By all means use it if you want by I usually just scrub ahead in the timeline.

It’s completely crowdsourced, if you notice a weird edit you can just fix it. Those are rare though in my experience

This is basically their only sponsor. It’s always odoo. It always confuses me. What is odoo getting out of this? It can’t be that such a good portion of the audience is petty bourgeois 😆

From what I’ve heard, a lot of these companies semi-automate their sponsorship programs to the point you can just have random assholes with basically no followers getting sponsorship deals, cuz actual humans very rarely review the sponsor segments.

Me and my buddy once thought it would be fun to see if we could start a fake podcast, never actually record an episode, and see if we couldn’t get sponsors for it. We never did but I wouldn’t be surprised if we could have at least gotten once of those shady sports betting sites to sponsor us.
