I think it might have to do something with his race. He has black ancestry and he couldn’t get roles in the beginning of his career because he wasn’t black enough to play a black guy and he wasn’t white enough to play a white guy.
Maybe so, the company was established in 1995 in the beginning of his career. Around 5 years before any Fast & Furious movies.

Hmm, I guess it makes sense for it to be an ironic name for a company started by a mixed race person (Diesel never met his biological dad and was raised by a black adoptive father, although his biological dad’s background is unknown).
I know much of anything important about him but I assume he’s a good guy. Yet he gave one of his companies a very shitty name and over decades many people surely told him was terrible but for mysterious reasons or at least reasons google doesn’t know - he refused to change it.
