Look, you’re a textbook, I get that you don’t wanna say fuck.

    But fornicating is right there.

Unfortunately it’s out of date, and fawning and freezing have since been added.

Sucking up to the oppressor. Stockholm syndrome is an extreme example. It prioritises long term survival over freedom.

Basically, be nice to the bastard aggressive boss, and hopefully he won’t fire you for looking at him funny.

You are mixing up the four Fs

Fight Flight Freeze and Fawn as the response to Fear

And functions of hypothalamus that had shit mnemonic put in textbook.

Flop, funster, fib… It’s like some authors need to leave their mark on that list by adding yet another F.

Those are trauma responses, not exactly the same sort of list as basic biological drives. Inter-related, certainly, but not quite the same.

I’m just proud I got through this comment without saying “ackshually”.

Ah yes the well known biological drive to put leftover food in the freezer.

Oh look, it’s the joke every psych 101 student for the last 50 years has learned. I hope Freshman year went ok for scandalousadventures.

I took psych 101 at my local community college, we didn’t learn this. What I did learn was that the majority of my class were either on or abusing prescription meds, based on their knowledge of the effects and side effects that came up during the lectures.
