And even older than Polaris, the north star. It’s only 70 million years old.

Well, Polaris is made up of three stars and only one of them is estimated to be younger than sharks. Still cool, though.

Your signature, “JK obv”, where obv is obviously short for Obviously; related to “JK row”, where row is of course short for Rowling.

If it were two ‘Rowlings’, you might be sisters. But being two 'JK’s, by logical deduction you must be the same person, having recently married and taken your husband’s surname, Mr. Obv(iously).

Hence, your expanded name, “JK Obv née Row”

          Flawless logic.

This statement does not make sense. If they only survived 4 out of 5 extinction events then there should be no more sharks alive today.

OK, I think I get it now. But it sounds a bit confusing. If you are listing events that sharks were not present for, then you might as well say something like Sharks survived the Big Bang

Kind of? It’s referencing a well known set of mass extinctions that are talked about together, the ‘Big Five’, but it also is worded poorly. Instead something like “Sharks have survived the most recent four of the ‘Big Five’ mass extinction events.” might be better?

To clarify, “older than trees” doesn’t mean older than currently living trees. It means older than the very first trees. As in, before plants figured out how to grow wood.
