I think it is even heavily used on Windows.

I made a quick and dirty (emphasis on dirty) app to do that. You upload your own music and m3u playlists and get a link to share with your friends. The master controls what’s played and that is synchronised to everyone. We used it to control music for our remote D&D sessions.

Almost every game nowadays has some kind of story. Pure abstract games like Tetris, however long lasting and multigenerational they are, are the vast minority. Even in something like Pong you play the role of a tennis player.

So, yeah, almost every game is an RPG.
