I wasn’t aware Tinder was bought out by Ancestry.com

EDIT: Pardon me. I keep forgetting to edit off the Reddit watermark at the beginning. A dumbass is me.

I think a lot of profiles like this are combinations of fake accounts for jokes and mean personalized prank attacks on people.

Taking some girl from your schools Facebook picture with her dad and putting it on tinder to make it look like you’re fucking your dad sounds exactly like something a mean high school kid would do to someone else.

Ugh same man. It was bad enough the cyber bullying you’d see with desktops on MySpace and nexopia when I was on high school. Now it’s probably a fucking nightmare.

Halfway thru high school, I remember accessing MySpace on my original iPhone on safari before the appstore even existed. I felt like hot shit.

I’m so glad social media was still new enough that I didn’t document my awkward dumbass development. I can proudly state that I never made a FB account.

Honestly I don’t feel like it’s right to post this with their face and name on the internet. I know that they put it on tinder themselves, but the reach of tinder is very different compared to Lemmy (and Reddit, judging by the watermark)

If this is fake, like others are suggesting, the posting it is literally contributing to the bullying. And think: what purpose does it serve anyways other than to bully? Critiquing someone is fine, but this isn’t that by a mile. We’re not giving them any kind of constructive feedback. Just mocking them.
