Hello everybody. I hope you are all enjoying your week. This week I continued playing through Pokemon Omega Ruby. I defeated the elite four and finished the post game episode. I accidentally critically hit Deoxys and wasn’t able to catch it, but I read online that I can try again after beating the Elite 4 rematch. I also played a little Rome Total War on the side. There definitely could be a through line from AI bubble > Unavailability of Computer parts > Higher console prices on both primary and secondary markets > young people unable to acquire game consoles > no fresh blood in fgc scene.
I’ve been out of the local gaming scene since covid so I’m not familiar with what other factors might be at play atm.
