I misread the last name pretty hard. I thought goth was talking about that kids YouTube channel. @TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website Op, fix the title!
-
They both look great. I am aware what goth did to remind her friend she’s better than a nazi.
-
What was goth doing on panel one?
-
just saw the tumblr ref.
- Putting in an earing?
look at panel 2 carefully
Trying and failing to put in an earring?
I like this answer best🤝🫦
I think she has the earing on, they’re just small studs and it’s hidden by her hair in that panel.
But who knows, maybe she was taking one out? Maybe because she doesn’t want to wear too many accessories to dinner?
Attaching an ear.
Full-on swooning because that outfit is dope!
You’re gonna love her inspiration then!
Psycholonials features very heavy clown imagery, including direct references to the Insane Clown Posse. This is a continuing trend in most if not all of Hussie’s work, and should worry all of us.
Fuckin’ magnets man.
Juggalos 🤝 Anarchists
Moving her hair in front of her earring :)

Do you think that people who claim the English language as their primary language due to the location in which they were born deserve to die?

who said anything about that
I don’t know who you are

I dunno, say what you will about fascists, they were snappy fucking dressers.
The old lot were I mean, the current batch look stupid and weird

To be fair, German boomer men mostly look embarrassing these days. And sadly, many of them are about as selfish and stupid as abovepictured fascist. /a German
Coco didn’t have a channel. Channels weren’t a thing back then.
She was nor even a coconut, she was a woman.
Or maybe a cocodrilo.
Are you POSITIVE she didn’t just fall out of a tree?
Women can fall out of trees. Boys are generally better at climbing trees. Thats why we had treehouses. Now those treehouses are rented for $2,000 a month…
Speaking as a former boy (current middle aged geezer), I know from personal experience that boys can fall out of trees too and that #NotAllBoys are better at climbing than girls 😁
I’m pretty sure the English channel existed then
The BBC?
Is that something dirty?

Inb4 Hugo Boss.
Hugo Boss didn’t design shit, as he wasn’t a designer, and his company wasn’t in fashion design until after his death. His company was one of the many manufacturers that the regime contracted for manufacturing uniforms, namely the SS uniforms designed by two dudes in SS.
However, Hugo Ferdinand Boss was a member of the Nazi party from 1931.
They didn’t really even design it, they stole the majority from the Massachusetts State Police.
Well hellloooooooo there officer.

The bowties! Holy shit lol, what a uniform
I think Himmler designed the uniform
It was two randos from the SS: a designer and an artist. It’s in Wikipedia.
Now that’s proper credit to the author, thank you for including a link!
Im sorry but wat
Coco Chanel has a famous quote about how many accessories a woman should wear. The post makes it funny by implying they’re going to quote that quote, but instead references her being an antisemite during WWII to remind people that much of history has been PR whitewashed for capitalistic reasons
There’s also some timing involved in Adams release of this comic. They just came out with a TV series that is muddying the waters in regards to her activities during World War II.
I think the point is that the kind of people who care about that kind of thing tend to be bad people with bad opinions.
I don’t get it either, sounds like a complete non-sequitur to me.
Its a fashion joke. If you dont follow the industry or know its history, it may not land for you.
The thread has the answer now, but to answer directly, she had a famous qoute about everytime you leave the house, remove an accessory. This joke subverts it by shocking the reader by telling them about her being a literal nazi instead.
Christian Dior’s sister Catherine was the real legend who worked for Allied intelligence and the French Resistance
I was unaware of this (and Coco Chanel’s Nazi sympathizing) until watching The New Look on AppleTV. It wasn’t that well received, but I appreciated seeing a story take place during WWII that treated the occupation of France not as the main plot, but as a setting.
If you want another look I recommend the behind the bastards episode on Coco.
