It case you’re wondering - there’s no context. But maybe ~3 weeks ago he posted passionately about columns - I dunno.

My friend is a mason at the Parthenon. He is insanely gifted. We were at a coffee shop together and I asked him what it would take to build these columns today. I will never forget his answer. “We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.”

    Previously, on instagram, context:

I am pleased to report that the United States Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of the Ballroom/Military Complex being built without any further contingency, doubt, or threat. We are living in the Golden Age of America, and this Building will be one of the Greatest ever constructed in Washington, D.C. When completed in the Summer of 2028, the magnificent Ballroom and Military Complex will be something that the entire Country is very proud of. The Project, despite the baseless lawsuit brought by the so-called National Trust for Historic Preservation of the United States, which is not in any way affiliated with the United States Government, is under budget and ahead of schedule. The Ballroom is totally funded by Great Patriots and Corporations and, therefore, is a Gift - At no cost to the American Taxpayer. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Community note: The Supreme Court granted the Trump administration’s request to continue construction on the White House ballroom. By a vote of 5-4, the court paused a ruling by a federal judge in Washington, D.C., that would have halted above-ground construction of the ballroom.

In the 8-page unsigned opinion, the majority emphasized that it was NOT deciding whether the project was legal. Instead, it stressed, the plaintiff likely lacks a legal right, known as standing, to challenge the project at all.

Tbf he said Golden not Gilded(which as the implication of a think gold veneer of a later of less valuable material)

Anyway, In the US? The rich got richer and threw parties with pyramids of pulpless orange halves, until the depression started and they remained rich

Any Working Class, class consciousness generated by the inequality of the day (Actually less than the inequality of today in many ways)
and fostered by people and orgs like the IWW,
was eventually neutralised by the Keynesianism(military and otherwise) of the New Deal
