Is it really necessary? To me, it seems like a genuine waste of resources and manpower when you could easily install any open-source app via F-Droid or Obtainium
Having higher quality standard apps might actually be more impactfull than the GrapheneOS project.
RCS is what I’m most excited about, if they want to increase users they need it.
That’ll be a nice improvement when RCS is available in the default messaging app.
That would be great, but I’m concerned about their ability to actually do it. Not because of a lack of technical ability on their end, but because RCS is highly gatekept — having a good implementation doesn’t help if no servers will allow you to connect.
For sure. I do understand that Google Messages works. But… Its Google. And also everytime I’m on their forums there is someone posting that RCS is broken again.
A better default keyboard and launcher would be nice
Futo keyboard is pretty good
FUTO is non-Free, and also part of the fashware ecosystem.
Damn, I didn’t know Louis Rossmann was invited to the Nazi bar… I hope he takes a stronger stance, but I can see how he got roped in. $1M donation to your non-profit is a juicy carrot, you should always read the fine print though.
But it’s not FLOSS last time I checked.
Ooh. It’s not it seems. All this time I was thinking it was…
Sucked ass last time I tried it
What’s could be wrong with the launcher? In any scenario
