A few days ago i got into a fight with a comrade bc they were convinced violent crime in the city is up OVER TWO HUNDRED PERCENT (its actually just perception of violent crime going up, real violent crime is going down as usual!) and the only solution is MORE COPS (our police boss literally went to train in israel a month or two ago!) so the oppressed middle class FEELS SAFE instead of threatened by ONTOLOGICALLY EVIL drug users and poor people playing with their switchblades.

Its infuriating how widespread this bullshit is. Cops literally stole all of a native elder’s stuff (including her medicine) a few days before this too!!! But apparently if we dont have the noble police cruising around beating homeless people and stealing their switch blades (and medicine) we will soon turn into a chaotic land with school shootings like america bc its a slippery slope from fiddling with a switchblade to shooting up a classroom

They were for more restrictions on gun ownership too, which is just such an unserious position for any marxist in a party intent on taking power to hold that its almost funny. I tried pointing out marx said no disarming the workers, but apparently thats “different” because it was a “revolutionary situation back then.” Like bruh how do you expect to get another revolutionary situation if you support more cops and less armed workers
