The DSA has always been “big tent”. Most locals start off as reading groups and lefty hangouts until someone comes in and tries to organize for something.

i think there are legitimate “we don’t like this person enough to formally endorse but if you’re going to vote they’re the least bad one” situations but that’s for well-meaning liberals in a situation where there is no radical candidate, not mercenaries
