“bodycam games” they took one (1) gimmick from cop murder videos and rolled with it
Jacob Geller has a good video about the trend. It turns out that it’s not that hard to pull off, and it’s eye catching enough to go viral.
Me trying to explain to the Soviet WW2 vet Hoi4: Ok listen gramps I need to RP the timeline where Stalin liberated all of Europe this is IMPORTANT PRAXIS!!!1!1!1!!

The second tweet is tagline material lol

very similar childhood memory of telling a kid on the bus that i thought the battlefield games were tacky and disrespectful and him asking me whether i was “just one of those scolding miserable people who hate fun”
Well? Are you?
Absolutely, unfortunately
Calling yourself white grok on Twitter in 2026 is a strong choice.
Grok is so woke these days that someone had to step in.
They way I did this EXACT thing with my WWII vet grandpa

Also Madden. At the end he was telling me to take a knee, hell no, we’re running up the score gramps
Paw paw would love colin kapernick
Gamers makes as much sense as a word as “smartphoners” would. It is hundreds of million of people enjoying vastly different media and holding vastly different believes. As such, any takes about “gamers” is doomed to be cringe. Just stop already.
People who buy expensive consoles or build gaming PCs are a different cohort than people who only play cheap/old games or play on their smartphone, I think. One group has more money and more leisure time than the other, which has class implications.
The class lines aren’t clean cut, I’m sure there are workers that will use their vacation time to play GTA 6, but there’s a tendency.

Stop pretending we don’t do the same thing for every other form of media

Gamers self identify as gamers
there’s people who play bideo bames and there’s capital ‘G’ Gamers(think the webcomic ctrl-alt-delete of ‘Loss’ fame)
Me just playing Atlyss with my furry jiggle physics

Gamers are one of the reasons (well it’s mainly me being busy, but I’d rather blame the mini-Hitlers) I maybe play like, 1-2 hours a week, if that.
I’ve been trying to rekindle my love of anime and cartoons to distance myself from gaming. It’s honestly become not fun as I’ve gotten older and the audience for games is well, you know the rest.
There is such a broad selection of games, all unique and interesting and ranges from easy to play or really hard. And the best part they don’t have to be multiplayer either.
Eh, I’ve just picked up a few creative hobbies too. Pick an artform (or idk tinkering with stuff/making things) or two and it’s much more fulfilling than gaming
I speak for 110% of leftists when I say Astrobot enjoyers are the exception
It’s insane that they still want $60 for a tech demo.
lmao really? I didn’t play it I just watched streams of it. Imagine.
