Who ever thought this guy was smart? He’s incredibly stupid, and loud about it. The quintessential Destiny moment is him looking up “socialism” on Wikipedia while trying to debate Richard Wolff. The man is an absolute idiot.

I think that’s kind of the appeal. Like how Trump is meant to be the leader of stupid narcissists Destiny is the leader of stupid white guys who think they’re smart but are too lazy to even what YouTube edutainment videos.

Not to hand it to the most annoying man alive but he might be poorly trying to say that the term “cultural bolshevism” was used by proto-fascists to describe modern abstract painting styles. Which would be correct but also this Destiny guy is a complete idiot so who knows

I think you are on to something. The only context in which he knows the term is far right propaganda designed to fool idiots. This is 100% believable.

The real WW2 was fraught on the canvas, Hitler’s classical style vs Stalin’s Bolshevist-realism. Hitler’s obsession with developing the perfect pastels hindered his mastery of a more refined painting technique. Meanwhile Stalin put his effort into mastering the raw fiber canvas and cheaper palette, giving him the ability to mass produce paintings reaching a bigger audience.

At the end of 1945, Hitler realized the he had lost. Later that day, he took his own life in his underground studio.

He was sure that any day now his apprentice Steiner was going to come out with a new line of paintings in response to the Bolshevist innovations, but it never materialized.

That finally explains the true controversy behind when Stalin painted over an old painting - Probably seen as him cheating at the competition by making post-hoc decisions to please the audience.

Yes, and someone should have painted the moon red during the Space Race… I don’t know how one would do it, but that would be some Bolshevik painting!

Many good posts in Xitter are followed by OP’s reactionary statements. I remember seeing a guy posting a Chinese restaurant in Afganistan (which looked cool btw), then saying he prefers Asians over n—rs.

    Kazimir Malevich. Next question.

    real answer

Lyubov Popova, and I think the heavy enforcement of socialist realism as The Soviet Art Movement was a huge mistake that crushed a nascent amazing art scene in the early Soviet Union.

Suprematism and constructivism were both, to my view, interesting and very artistically important movements strangled in the cradle.
