It’s uh… It’s literally just noodles, pastas, and meats. Gets really monotonous tbh.

Don’t even get me started on Panda Express. Americanized Chinese cuisine that’s been completely bastardized because most of us white people flip out over a single drop of hot sauce in their food.

Idk I’ve never called them meat pies, just pie. The only reason you’d say meat pie is to disambiguate from mince pies, which is only gunna be relevant for like three months of the year for most people

Low key I don’t think our pies are that good. I haven’t been to nz but i heard that they run laps around ours

Four n twenty is absolute trash. Gravy with gristle. Average cbd bakery (bread shop) is a roll of the dice between 4n20 analogue and ‘i guess this’ll do’, I’ll drown it in sauce. Country bakery will be the same lows with a 1/20 chance of ‘someone back of house actually put their foot down and says we want to introduce some standards around here’. 1/35 bakeries will be ascended but will be in some far off suburb or town that you only ever pass through once a year on way to (other destination). If you think you live next to your city’s best bakery, you don’t.

(Two of my good mates are kiwi expats and say that yeah while the economy over there is a cooked chook, the food is actually what we imagine ours to be)
