Gov. Andy Beshear issued his ultimatum in letters warning McConnell and Senate Majority Leader John Thune that he may begin the process of replacing the senator.
McConnell responded to the charge with an audio recording of gurgling noises and raspy breathing described by forensic scientists as “making one want to deny Christ.”
